Project

Organisme voué aux personnes atteintes de cancer (OVPAC)

Give training sessions to OVPAC staff in order to provide better support to seniors affected by cancer.

Description

Over the past twenty years, OVPAC has been offering medical transportation services to people affected by cancer, in particular to seniors who travel long distances to get to a hospital for their cancer treatment. Public transportation is not always adequate and taxis are too expensive. The drivers wait for the beneficiaries and then bring them home safe and sound, once the chemotherapy, radiotherapy or other type of treatment is over.

OVPAC covers a wide area including the following RCM: Beauharnois-Salaberry, Vaudreuil-Soulanges, Roussillon and Haut-St-Laurent.
