Dr. El Bachir Affar earned his doctorate in Physiology-Endocrinology from the Centre hospitalier de l’Université Laval (CHUL), in Quebec City, and completed his postdoctoral training at the CHUL Research Laboratory on Skin Cancer and in the Department of Pathology of the Harvard Medical School. His primary fields of interest include cellular signalling via ubiquitination, DNA- and chromatin-dependent processes (DNA transcription and repair) and the molecular basis of cancer.
