1. What happens to the money I donate to the Foundation?

The generosity of our partners and donors is crucial to the accomplishment of our mission. The funds raised allow the Quebec Breast Cancer Foundation (QBCF) to invest in research and innovation, raising awareness, education and to support affected people and their loved ones. Each one of your donations contributes greatly to the fight against breast cancer.

2. Can I get a tax receipt when I make a donation?

Yes. As a registered charity, the Quebec Breast Cancer Foundation (QBCF) provides tax receipts for donations of $ 25 or more. On request, the QBCF can issue receipts for donations under $ 20.

The QBCF prepares official donation receipts that meet the requirements of the Income Tax Act and Regulations, as described by the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA). If you would like additional information about tax laws, see section Making a donation of the Canada Revenue Agency.

3. Is the Quebec Breast Cancer Foundation recognized as a charitable organization by law?

Yes, the Foundation is registered as a charitable organization with the Canada Revenue Agency. Our registration number is 14068 4325 RR0001.

4. When will I get my tax receipt?

If you make a donation through our online form, you will receive a confirmation e‑mail with your tax receipt immediately following the transaction.

If you send us a donation by mail, please allow approximately four (4) weeks to receive your official receipt.

Note that tax receipts issued for the previous year will add up to the total donations made until December 31 at 11:59 p.m.

5. Is it possible to make a donation to pay tribute to someone?

Absolutely! Simply fill out the form provided for this purpose, making sure to indicate the full name and address of the person you wish to pay tribute to.

If you wish to make a donation in memory of a deceased person please include in the form provided for this purpose, the name of the deceased as well as the full name and address of the person to be notified.

6. Why was my payment rejected?

As we have a protection system in place that ensures the confidentiality of your information, it can happen that a legitimate payment is refused. We recommend you contact an agent from your financial institution to find out why the payment was not authorized. If the agent cannot resolve the problem, contact us using this form.
