Support Help Line
From Mudgirl to the Ride des filles, find out who’s behind our biggest fundraisers. We want to share the incredible work of these committed volunteers who have built larger-than-life movements in support of the cause!
The Pillu brothers and the SportEra team – MUDGIRL events
Kevin and Gary Pillu approached the Foundation three years ago with an invitation for women to outdo themselves during the MUDGIRL sporting event. The exceptional commitment of the Pillu brothers and the SportEra team has led them to donate over $194,000 to the Foundation since the creation of MUDGIRL!
The Ride de filles team
In 2009, Sylvie Brisebois organized the first “Ride de filles,” a women’s motorcycle ride. That year, 50 participants raised $7,000 for the Foundation. Today, more than 300 people gather for the Ride de filles every year. And the initiative has raised over $580,000 in 11 years!
The Bellemare family
Métro Bellemare gives its shoppers in four of its stores a chance to participate in the Foundation’s annual fundraiser. The Bellemare family made a commitment to us in 2014 and they have raised $10,000 each year since, for a total of $63,000 in donations over the past six years.
Every year since 2005, Novartis Canada has participated in a 600-kilometre, three-and-a-half-day bike ride starting in Toronto and ending at the company’s headquarters in Dorval, Quebec. In 2019, this Ride for Life celebrated its 15th edition and has raised over $1.2 million for the cause.
The Mondor Express family – Golf at heart!
Since 2014, Express Mondor presents an annual golf tournament that has raised over $25,000 for the Foundation each year. We would like to thank the exceptional enthusiasm of Josée Amiot, Denis Lépine and Guillaume Labrie, and highlight the ongoing commitment of Éric, Billy and Dany Mondor.
Diane Paquette and the Rallye pour la guérison
In 2011, Diane Paquette launched a “rally for healing” tournament at the Laval sur le Lac golf club. Open only to the club’s female members, this tournament raises over $20,000 every year, for a grand total of $181,820 to date.
