Let’s talk about breast cancer!

Because breast cancer affects everyone, the Quebec Breast Cancer Foundation makes it its duty to inform all the people and communities affected, so that they can become allies in breast health.

To achieve this part of its mission, the Foundation relies on the latest recommendations from breast cancer research groups and draws inspiration from best practices in awareness-raising and prevention.

Count on us for reliable information on healthy habits and best practices for preventing the disease and its complications.

Awareness talks

The Quebec Breast Cancer Foundation offers free breast cancer awareness talks in the workplace, community and schools upon request. These can be held in person or by videoconference.

Talks in the workplace or community

Are you an employer or community organization that cares about the health of your employees or members? Want to help them develop good breast-health practices?

A Foundation employee or trained volunteer will talk to your community to educate them about breast cancer. Depending on your needs, the content of our educational presentations can cover different aspects of the disease: risk factors, good breast-health practices such as maintaining a healthy lifestyle and other risk-reducing strategies, chest and breast observation, and screening recommendations. The diagnostic process and various breast cancer treatments can also be covered. Lastly, you’ll learn more about the Quebec Breast Cancer Foundation and its services.

Talks in schools

CEGEPs and universities can also take advantage of free educational talks on breast cancer. Educate your students about breast cancer during a one-hour lecture that includes a question period. A speaker will inform them about best practices for preventing the disease and its complications.

Information booths

The Foundation can also help raise awareness in your community by setting up a breast cancer information booth in your workplace, community centre or school, or as part of an event. Visitors to the Foundation’s stand will find a variety of games and educational materials on the risk factors and possible signs of breast cancer, as well as best practices for preventing the disease and its complications. Staff and volunteers will be on hand to answer your questions about breast cancer and the free support services available through the Foundation.
