Social Worker WHO WE ARE The Quebec Breast Cancer Foundation is a charitable organization created to help people with breast cancer. For more than 25 years, we have been funding research and innovation, supporting people affected by breast cancer and their loved ones, advocating on their behalf, and making breast health a priority through awareness and education initiatives. www.rubanrose.org JOB SUMMARY Working collaboratively with the Breast Cancer Investments & Health Promotion team, which includes a French-speaking Social Worker, you would provide psychosocial care mainly by phone and predominantly in English. Support could occasionally be provided online or in person. Depending on the number of calls and requests, the job could also include group work, system navigation support, education and provide links to relevant specialized or community resources. We are looking for candidates interested in working approx. 14 hours per week and progressively increase their working hours. PROFIL RECHERCHÉ Hold a university or graduate degree in social work Minimum 2 years recent related experience Experience or knowledge of oncology Current registration with the Ordre professionnel des travailleurs sociaux et thérapeutes conjugaux et familiaux du Québec Bilingual English-French Computer literate Empathy, great listening skills and ability to work with vulnerable clients Thoroughness, attention to detail and good work organization Judgement and ability to maintain confidentiality Positive, proactive and professional attitude APPLICATION Apply to rh@rubanrose.org before August 15, 2021.
