[Content in French Only]In Quebec, one woman out of nine will develop breast cancer during her life, and one out of thirty will die of it. Statistics however are encouraging, thanks to research progress: since 1986, there’s a decrease of more than 42% of the mortality rate ‒ 87% of people touched by the sickness now survive longer than 5 years. Because breast health can be a complex subject, we make it easier to understand by using pictures and numbers to talk about it. This approach allows us to present information accessible to all, along with data and resources adapted to Quebec’s reality. There is hope!
