The CIBC Run for the Cure is back for its 21st edition! The Quebec Breast Cancer Foundation is glad to participate once again in this event which is the largest single-day, volunteer-led fundraiser in the country to fight against breast cancer.
On Sunday, October 1, thousands of participants will gather across Quebec to show their solidarity with people living with cancer during this major annual gathering which will launch the breast cancer awareness month. You can choose between a 1 or 5 km walk or run.
The CIBC Run for the Cure is an inspiring event which brings people together to raise public awareness of breast cancer. Last year, the CIBC Run for the Cure brought together more than 8,000 participants and enabled $1.15 million to be raised in Quebec for the cause. Across the province, 450 volunteers contributed to the success of this event.
Donations collected in the Run for the Cure will enable the Quebec Breast Cancer Foundation to fund innovative research projects as well as public awareness and education campaigns and support programs for people living with cancer and their loved ones.
This year again, Quebecers will gather to push their limits through this run and show their support for the more than 6,500 people living with breast cancer each year in Quebec. The Foundation is happy to be able to count once again on the participation and generosity of the public. This cause connects us all for life.
